"I did start 20 novels, and then went, 'Ah, too hard,' and went to the bar."
-- The reading world's loss is the rest of the world's gain when it comes to Ricky Gervais; instead of those novels we get "The Invention of Lying" which opens Friday in perhaps the best box-office field since last year's award-show season.

The Gervais thing reminds me; Michael Palin is an excellent writer and "Hemingway's Chair" is one of those books that's been on my short-list to read for years. Actually, Hemingway's Chair would probably make an OUTSTANDING Wrapped Up in Books selection. Just sayin'.

In terms of getting people to read the selection the combination of Python and classic literature would be an easy sell. Wonder why it's not even in my Palin collection.
