Barnes and Noble Has Its Own E-Reader Now

It looks like a Kindle with a touch screen, it runs on Android and Wired thinks you'll be able to lend e-books to friends with the same device. But it's $259 and it's called... the Nook. Really? They took the '80s-computer palette of the Kindle and not the catchy name? It's as if they figured out I'm not their target market or something.

Really? I think books and nooks go together (a cozy place with a good book!) better than books and kindling (burn the books! you don't need them anymore!).

I can't figure out where any of these e-book device names are coming from.

Marjorie -- I don't know, but I assume they hire branding consultants or some such (PI of the 21st century?). I think we should get into that line of work.

Elizabeth, I thought first "Pacifier?" and then "Real estate exaggeration?" But I see your point. Cozy is good.
