Edna St. Vincent Millay's famously tiny Greenwich Village townhouse is on the market again. Sure, you wouldn't want to move with your whole family to 75 1/2 Bedford St. (a half!!!!!), but for 1000 square feet (and a garden!) you could not go cuter if you have $4.3 million lying around. And you are under 9 feet tall, because the whole place is only 9 feet wide -- narrower than a Mini Cooper is long.
(Cary Grant also lived there... not at the same time.)

Eda St. Vincent Millay + Cary Grant + mini-cooper-width house sounds like the best missed-opportunity reality show in... ever.
"This is the true story... of eight bloggers... picked to live in a very tiny house...play on the Internet together and have their lives taped..."
wow. that is 10x the price per square foot in my neighborhood. that is...a big difference
When I first moved to Baltimore, we looked at renting a house that was about that width. It was much more affordable than the one featured in this post (because no famous poets had lived there?), and it had the added advantage of coming furnished. Because, you know, your own furniture wouldn't fit in it: you really needed the 3/4-scale furniture it came with.
There were no doors in the house except the front door, the back door, and the door to the bathroom, so you had to make the decision: do you want to put your bedroom on the second floor, with the one bathroom, so that you don't have to go up and down stairs in the middle of the night, or do you want to put your bedroom on the third floor, so that if you have company over, they don't have to walk through your bedroom to get to the bathroom?
It was really adorable, but it seemed a little small for two people. I can't imagine trying to fit eight bloggers into it.
