New rule

If you come out with the best album of the year, you are allowed one extremely obvious T.S. Eliot reference in your lyrics. Just ONE though, and if this album is dethroned, that judgment could be overturned as well.

The depressing Prufrock reference might have worked better on Neon Bible, but, as you said, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point.

So, you're on record for saying that The Suburbs is the best album of the year. What else is in your top five? Is it possible it'll be the same five bands that were in your top five in 2007? Because that's how its shaping up for me so far.
