What was your first job in New York?
Cutting out pages of David Mamet's Oleanna from a book and scotch-taping them to blank printer paper for St. Martin's.
-John Hodgman in NY Magazine.
When I was little, I knew I was a bookworm but not what order to say it in.

Why, exactly?
I loooooove Oleanna. It started my "Omg I'm now gonna read everything this guy has ever written" binge. I'm now one of maybe 5 people in the world who's read Revenge of the Space Pandas, although I drew the line at his poetry.
*who've
I'm guessing Hodgman was in production at St Martin's, making a mock-up of the pre-production book. (Correct me if I'm wrong, book publishing types.)
I love Mamet myself - recently went to the "Glengarry Glen Ross" revival on Broadway.
I keep meaning to go to one of these. Wanted to go to the one a few years back with Liev Schreiber as Roma, too. Someday!
