Like, I am on the laptop, and usually I just close it and set it aside next to me and sleep with it in/on the bed. This is probably a problem. I have often gone to bed with laundry and/or full stacks of books in bed with me as well. The benefits (and I'm not being sarcastic) of being single...

That said I am much better about going to sleep early if I just get in bed and do whatever (Computer, reading) for a bit. I get my stuff done, I feel calmer for having had a few moments of zen, and when I feel tired (which inevitably happens immediately) I have no incentive to do anything but go straight to sleep.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08579912946565177962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13166465.post-28328146515128162352007-11-14T13:31:00.000-05:002007-11-14T13:31:00.000-05:00I've always read in bed, but I decided to only rea...I've always read in bed, but I decided to only read there when I'm trying to go to sleep. This way, I can tell my brain to cycle down, and I'll know when I'm sleepy and not ignore it.

Out of bed reading locations include my squishy chair on my porch, and starbucks.

(P.S. my circadians got so off this week that I finally downed some OTC sleeping pills. I feel so much better this morning!)Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08485757600754919477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13166465.post-50898141248870958562007-11-14T12:40:00.000-05:002007-11-14T12:40:00.000-05:00Ah. Favorite places for longer reading? OUTSIDE in the SUN if the weather's nice - a park, a big rock, in the pool, etc. On the couch with a blanket if it's rainy or cold.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05495440229507443978noreply@blogger.com
